暖通在學科分類中的全稱為供熱供燃氣通風及空調工程，包括：采暖、通風、空氣調節這三個方面，從功能上說是建筑的一個組成部分。暖通空調是分戶的中央空調，中央空調它最大特點,是能夠創造一種舒適的室內環境。而家居一般的分體的空調，它只能解決冷暖問題，而解決不了空氣處理過程。暖通空調空氣處理過程首先是空氣進來以后，除了引進新風以外，可以把空氣進行冷卻處理，然后就進行過濾處理，過濾處理以后，增加了幾大特點：第一就增加電子除塵器.，它主要可以捕捉非常小的顆粒的灰塵，一般來講它可以捕捉一個微米的灰塵，而這個灰塵的范圍內大部分都是細菌、病毒、煙塵，或者是異味這樣就都可以過濾掉；另外會增加一種加濕設備，這個加濕器可以創造我們房間的加濕達到40％左右的相對濕度，這樣人會感到很舒適。”
